What is Outdoor Learning?
Outdoor Learning is taking part in purposeful, planned activities in a natural environment. It is a method of teaching that can easily be integrated into the curriculum for all ages ranging from teaching literacy by writing nature poems or teaching maths by exploring patterns in nature. Taking learning outside the classroom gives the added bonus of helping children form a meaningful connection with nature and improve their health and well-being at the same time.
