We know the positive impact Forest School and Outdoor Learning have on mental health and well-being. Now more than ever, we need to support our children’s mental health and give them every opportunity to succeed in their learning. Our training teaches you to lead Forest School or Outdoor Learning at your setting. We use creative teaching methods to suit your learning styles. You will learn through through hands on activities and complete classroom based theory work. In addition, you will use a range of beautiful natural resources to complement your learning.
We are committed to giving you the best training experience we can. As a result, you are fully supported by your tutor throughout your training. Tutors are available by phone, email and for face to face tutorials. Also, you will have access to a bank of free online resources to help with your study.
Quality Assurance
Cambridge Forest Schools are an associate trainer with Cambium Sustainable and belong to the Cambium Sustainable Trainers Network. This means, our training courses are part of a suite of Outdoor Learning and Forest School units. This enables you to find the right training pathway for your school. Whether you choose Curriculum led Outdoor Learning or child- led play based Forest School, we have the course for you. All accredited courses are endorsed by the Institute for Outdoor Learning.
Where is our training held?
We hold our training courses in Swaffham Bulbeck, a beautiful village close to Cambridge. The woods is right next door to the classroom venue. Therefore, we can spend as much time as possible working outside. The venue has free parking and there is a small shop and pub in the village. Swaffham Bulbeck is on a direct bus route to Cambridge (Stagecoach 11) and is linked to cycle route 51.
