Forest School programmes

“The forest school curriculum encourages pupils to learn how to work together and how to support each other. Pupils engage positively with outdoor learning, working together to build dens, make camp fires and explore the outside space. As a result, pupils develop strong friendships, which inspectors observed in the playground, in lessons and when speaking with pupils”

Forest School is a philosophy of learning focused on child-led learning in a natural environment. It is a long-term process led by trained Forest School leaders who facilitate supported risk as well as facilitating holistic learning. We can either train your staff as Forest School Leaders or run the Forest School at your setting in one of two ways:

A 10 week programme of sessions: A programme of Forest School sessions on your site following the Forest School ethos as the first step in implementing Forest School at your setting. This gives your school staff a solid starting point from which to embark on Forest School training.

A programme of sessions running the duration of the school year:  led by a Level 3 Leader supported by your staff and/or volunteers.

All our leaders are Level 3 Forest School Leader trained, hold a current DBS and First Aid certificate.
