Forest School First Aid Course

After the great success of our recent first aid course we are in the process of organising another one for the Autumn.

Make sure you sign up for our newsletter at the top of the page and we’ll send you information just as soon as we can.

All Forest School Leaders are required to hold a current first aid certificate. We strongly recommend that you hold a  Forest School Outdoor First Aid qualification.

This Forest School First Aid course is a 2-day (16 hours) paediatric and outdoor first aid course. This course meets Ofsted first aid requirement for registered child-minders and nannies under the Department for Children, Schools and Families Approved Carers Scheme.  Also, the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage Statutory Framework. The certificate is valid for 3 years.

Course content includes the potential illnesses and injuries of babies and children as well as those of adult helpers working outdoors. The first day covers basic first aid skills and the second moves into incident management in an outdoor space. First Aid training is run by First Aid Academy.

Forest School First Aid courses are held at our woodland venue in Swaffham Bulbeck. Courses run over two days 9am – 6pm daily.
