We introduce you to different types of whittling knives and chisels so you can design and make your own kitchen utensil to take home and use in your own kitchen.
Whittling a spatula Saturday 18th October 2020 11am – 1pm
We help you design your own kitchen utensil, whether for stirring scrambled or flipping fried eggs. You will learn about different whittling tools then whittle away in the peace and quiet of the woods. Our experienced tutors are on hand to keep the campfire burning and give you support as you need. When you’ve finished your project, there’ll be the chance to enjoy a delicious shared campfire afternoon tea of toasted crumpets (lathered with melted organic butter or piled with cheese!) and enjoy a hot drink with your fellow whittlers.
Refreshments and materials are included in the price. We cater for all dietary requirements but we do need to know in advance so we can ensure we are prepared.
These specialist workshops are open to adults and children 10 and over. If your children are younger and you want to have a go at using tools and cooking on the fire, you might like to join our family sessions instead.
Venue: Our woodland is a 10 minute walk from the carpark along a bumpy bridleway.
If for any reason the course doesn’t go ahead on the stated date, you can simply book onto another workshop or we’ll give you a gift voucher equal to the value of the amount you paid.
