About our training.

Our training courses are taught through a balance of practical hands on activities, practical skills and classroom based theory work. We use range of creative teaching methods suitable for all learning styles with varied natural resources that complement learning.

As an associate training company with Cambium Sustainable, when doing Forest School or Outdoor Learning training with us, you will have access to a suite of Cambium Online resources to aid your learning.

We are part of the Cambium Trainers Network. The Cambium Network has trainers in many parts of the UK. We cooperate in Continuing Professional Development, standardisation of assessment and feedback, submission of work to Agored Cymru (Formerly OCN Wales) awarding body and internal and external quality assurance.

Trainers meet regularly to discuss the latest developments, and to exchange ideas, skills and techniques and to play for the future. Most members of the Cambium Network provide services directly to schools and other bodies wishing to engage with the expanding use of Forest School, Outdoor Learning and Coastal School techniques in early years, primary and secondary education.

We are proud of our high standard of course delivery and of each student who gains their qualification with us. We support our students and nurture them on their Forest School training or Outdoor Learning training journey.

Our courses are either a block or modular format, to find the right training for you, look at our course dates.

Our training courses are held in Swaffham Bulbeck, a beautiful village close to Cambridge. Our classroom venue is complemented by having the woods right next door so during training we spend as much time as possible working outside. There is free parking at the venue and the village is serviced by a small shop and pub. It is on a direct bus route to Cambridge (Stagecoach 11) and links to cycle route 51.
